Group therapy for Social Anxiety
I run a fortnightly group for social anxiety. The sessions are run for 6 weeks fortnightly. Every session is 2h and will be with a group of people wanting to overcome their social anxiety. Every person from the group has previously had at least one session with me, and I was able to assess whether the group therapy would be the best way to go.
Our sessions are a mix of learning coping strategies for overcoming social anxiety, putting them into practice within the group, do a role play and generally exchanging on our experiences.
Atmosphere is warm and respectful and all the members of the group have agreed on the confidentiality policy regarding other members of the group and the work that has been discussed in sessions.
